JS:Cryptonight [Trj]

So this happen to you to medina adhitya, if I can know did this happen in sites where you can play video or not?

I hope anyone from AVG could clarify is this false positive or not, it's really dissapointing when they don't clarify anything for 3 days now

Hi Erick,

This has happened to me as well, it is a program which executes in a script when trying to play or stream movies on various 3rd party websites, such as Putlockr.

Nothing to be alarmed about, just AVG doing it part. Look under more details and it says that it prevents the connection occurring.

Hello Erick,
I'm sorry to hear about this. The issue is might be because of Mozilla Firefox cookies and it's extension. In this case, I request request you to refresh Firefox once, and check if the website is working with enabled AVG Protection.
Best regards,
Alok.

Hi
Yesterday I visit a website which I usually use to watch video, it has many server to watch video in it. Then I access one of the server there then I suddenly got a pop up message from AVG web shield that JS:Cryptonight [Trj] has detected.

I check the link in virus total https://avualrhg9p.bid/bidmatching.js and virus total say it safe but AVG detect it.  I will later post one picture about yesterday detection.

Today I got one more pop up message from AVG web shield that JS:Cryptonight [Trj] has detected when I access the website again but this time the link that blocked by AVG is different. And when I scan the link https://vcfs6ip5h6.bid/bidmatching.js in virus total there are 2 virus database that say it malicious DNS8 and Kaspersky, I will post another picture about today detection

So I want to know is this false positive or what ? Is it malware like AVG said ?

I'm sorry this is not the answer to your question, Erick, but the same happen to me! I'm using Google Chrome and the message keeps appearing. To be honest it's a bit annoying because I'm using AVG on my work laptop, so the warning message that keeps appearing really disturb when I'm working. Even after I scanned the computer, it'll keep appearing the next time I'm using the browser (just for info, I mainly just visit emails and some site I need for work research).

Anyone could response to my question please ??

Already try refresh firefox like you said and when I visit the website again today AVG web shield still detetct it. Here is the picture User-added image

So is this just a false positive or it's actually malware like AVG detection said ?

Anyone could response to my question please ??
