Hi Jennie

I have done all things adived above, to manually deleting the file but still appears as threat when i scan. Please help

I have OSX 10.12.3 with a free version of AVG AntiVirus.

I'm also having the same issue. When I ran a scan, it found four threats. I was not able to quarantine the Nimda files, but I was able to delete the other two (MacOs;Glims-M [PUP]) manually in their folders.

I then ran the scan again it found 54 threats – the initial four threats along with  50 other infected files (mostly PDFs). The 50 files were quarantined and deleted. But the Glims-M threat reappeared in the scan even though I thought I deleted it.

I ran the scan a third time. And it found the original four threats with no new threats. Below is a screenshot of the results.

HELP!

I used Finder (on All My Files) and cmd+shift+G and typed in the location of the trojan (not including the long number) given by the AVG scan, and then manually deleted the infected file. It involved typing in my password to delete it so I assume thats why AVG struggles with it.

I uninstalled 17.1 version of AVG Free and installed the 17.0 Version and I have 6 files that start out JS:Nimda that say they are threats and won't go to quarentene or delete them. Help!

Hello Bradley,
We regret for the inconvenience. Could you please confirm the exact AVG program installed on your PC and have you received any message while moving the threat to the quarantine? If so please provide us with the screenshot, so that we could analyze the issue and assist you better in resolving the issue. Please have a look at this article http://avgread.me/1aZxsAV to attach a screenshot.
Thank you.

i updated AVG and ever scenes when i do a scan i come across a threat "JS:nimda-b [Trj]" and when i try and put it into quarantine it shows the alert "cannot move to quarantine"

Any help/advise will be highly appreciated!
