Just renewed my subscription that would be obsolete February 4 2024

New registration should it not be for 1 year from date of registration. I just renewed today Jan 27 2024 for 1 year to replace the one that is presently active for 8 more days, and on my confirmation I read that the next renewing will be december 1 2024. Why 2 two month before it finishes.
