Latest update stops XP sp3 machines from hibernating

Hello Ben,

I apologize for the inconvenience. To analyze the issue further, I need to submit your concern to our senior technicians along with other diagnostic logs. I have sent you an email with steps on how to collect and upload the data required for analyzing your issue. Please check your inbox and spam/junk folder as well.

I have this very same issue on my XP machine, AVG is no longer allowing the system to hibernate or stand by.  I have had to prevent the update install on my other systems until this problem is resolved.

Since the update a couple of days ago, none of my XP based machines will hibernate. No advice please about not running XP - that would be unhelpful and irrelevant. AVG runs fine on XP, XP is a very stable platform, except that AVG prevents hibernation.
I note that it is now impossible to actually raise AVG support unless I pay a daily tariff. They at least should let me report faults to them.
Not impressed with that, or the fact that every different bit of the AVG website requires me to log in, again and again.
