I would request you to install AVG, disable individual components and check which AVG component is actually blocking the website. For AVG Free goto menu "Options" -> "Advanced Settings". Select "Exceptions". Add the file "C:\Program Files (x86)\ACT\Act for Windows\Act!.exe" as an exception using default settings. Worked for me.

Thanks so much for the response! I tried this and for some reason it didn't work for me. all that worls is to temporarily disable AVG, launch ACT and then immediately restart AVG. It works fine then.

As soon as I uninstall AVG, Act! loads fine. didn't happen until latest update. Any ideas?
