Launching SWTOR-fails after latest 2017 AVG update

Hello Michael,
Sorry to hear about this. Please open AVG  -> Internet Security -> Click on Menu in the top right corner -> Settings -> Components -> Firewall -> Customize ->
Policies->System Rules->Enable the 'Allow windows file and printer sharing', enable the 'Allow remote desktop connections to this computer' and also enable the 'Allow stealth mode for public networks'. Then click OK to save changes->in 'Network Profiles' tab -> Change the network profiles from Public to Private and click OK to save changes and check if it works.
Keep us informed about the status.
Thank you.

I am using a laptop. Prior to the latest AVG Virus protection update (August 2017) I had no issues. Since the update I am unable to log into Star Wars the old republic unless I turn off the firewall. I get an unspecified error from the launcher if I dont. Once the game is running I can again activate the firewall and the game runs fine, until next time I want to launch it.

I also have a desktop PC and the latest AVG update is also loaded on that PC, but the game launches just fine with no issues.

I have also tried many variations of the components in AVG but nothing short of turning off the firewall solves the issue on my laptop.

Any help please.

Thanks Abirami…All fixed…followed your instructions which were perfect and easily understood.
