License Error AVG for Free

I have AVG Anti Virus for free installed.  My control panel says License Error.  It says the license component is active. The installed product is AVG AntiVirus 2015. The license is expired.  Is there something we need to do? I thought you only get a license when you purchase a product vs. using the free version.
