Local (home) network

I had already done that. The laptop AVG is set to Private. The Desktop AVG is set to Private. The Windows 10 machine taht I want to use as a slave does not currently have AVG on it but all properties set to private and file share etc. Any further advice?

I have 4 computers at home. I want to be able to network them using one (which has multiple hard disk drives) as a "slave" data holder for the whole network. How does one set up AVG to allow sight & read/write access across my ethernet network. All machines are in my house.

I appreciate your efforts, Edward.

I suggest you to disable AVG on all your PC and check if you're able to establish a connection with each other.

Refer the article to disable AVG.

Thanks for the details, Edward.

I suggest you to install AVG on your Windows 10 PC and monitor the status.

Hi Edward,

Thanks for posting your concern in AVG community forum.

1. Open AVG Internet Security program window.
2. Click on "Hacker Attacks–>Firewall Options–>Network Profiles".
3. If the profile was set to "Public" then change it to "Private" and then check the status with Home Network.

If you have any issues, kindly write back to us.
