Please click on the 3 drawer lines next to scan computer and share the screenshot of it.
I did what you requested and repaired avg but still the same no scan settings.
if you can mess my avg up with a update why cant it be put right with a update.

did as you asked and clicked done, and still the same, no scan settings icon.
thanks for trying to help but lost all faith and confidence in avg. will let the programme run its course and then look for something new .
