I have had a recent update to AVG protection, after which I cannot access a printer through my wireless network.  I am getting an error message:  Job Aborted: Failure in UIO CreateAddressFromIPAddress.  I feel like it is a problem in my setup, but do not know where to start.  Thanks

We sincerely apologize for the difficulties you are currently experiencing.

Please follow the below steps and check the status.

  • Open the AVG Internet Security > Click on the Web & Email tile > Enhanced Firewall options > Network profiles > make sure your Wireless network and a wireless printer are selected as a private connection "I trust this network".
  • Please follow the steps mentioned in this article to configure the system rules and enable all the permission in a private connection.
  • Once it done, get back to the home screen and go to ☰ Menu ▸ Settings.
Select Full protection ▸ Remote Access Shield in the left panel.
Tick the box next to Block all connections except the following.
Under Block all connections except the following, click Add.
Enter a trusted IP address or IP range, then click Allow. Added connections appear below the Add button.

I have followed your suggested fix instructions.  The "Allow windows file and printer sharing" was already enabled.  I have restarted my computer and still get the same error message when trying to print to the printer.  The computer is accessing the printer, as I am able to change the paper size to print to.  It just will not let the print document move to printer.  Thanks, Wilson Daughtry
OK, I have followed the steps you suggested, still no connection to printer.  I do not have AVG Secure VPN installed.  Thanks, Wilson Daughtry
