Hi, I also starting to get the same error message everytime I boot up my pc.
Before I start getting this message. I have another strange message. AVG alert me that my antivirus database is outdated. But when I click to update it will show that I am already up to date. I tried the following after reading some suggestions in the forum.
1. Check date and time in my Pc. Yes it is correct.
2. Delete the temp file in the advance setting/update menu. Many times and many days.
I still get the out of date alert. Then 2 days ago, I click to update again. It seems working now. The alert gone.
Then I start to get this McahineIDCreate error. For 2 days now at everytime I boot up the PC.
I had already sent the output file from the tool. Please help check.
Thank you in advance.
Charoenp.
I also am having recurring issues with the MachineIDCreator… However, I do not have AVG toolbar- please advise… thanks!

Amazing. This is a new problem for me only after avg 2015came throguh the pipe. And, I do not have the AVG toolbar installed. Any answers?
Problem solved, but I had to remove all trace of AVG before re-installing. The removal tool helped but it was insufficient.
Every time I boot my PC I get a pop-up window saying MachineIdCreator has a problem and needs to shut down. It takes two closures of the box and then goes away until I shut my machine down for the night. Next morning, it is back.
A search with Google shows that Machine Id Creator is a part of AVG.
I recently installed what turned out to be an illegal version of AVG. I then bought a valid licence and re-installed. The message started to appear about a week later.

Presume you've tried completely uninstalling AVG with the removal tool & reinstalling with the off-line installer?. If so, In order to analyze it please provide AVG with diagnostic output using this tool (
Thank you Alan. I have tried removing AVG using their removal tool. After re-installing AVG (paid version) I still get the pop-up window with the MachineIdCreator message. I don't think the removal tool removes all traces, but I am not an expert in these matters. What really annoys me is that this problem has been around for a long time and the Tech guys at AVG have still not fixed it. It isn't an OLD problem, it is still a CURRENT problem.
Hi E,
In order to analyze it please provide us with diagnostic output using this tool and please add detailed description of issue.
Thanks
