Hello Ernest,

I would like to inform you that, PUP's are potentially unwanted programs which are not actual threats but unnecessary to run on a computer.
Hence, it is not set as a default search in AVG virus scan.
If you wish to find PUP's, it can be enabled in AVG virus scan settings.
May I know when you received the popup regarding "Idle Buddy"?

Thank you for the information.

PUP's can be removed from AVG as well.

We do have an option to scan for PUP's. Open AVG Internet Security, click on "Menu->Settings->General->Check the option "Scan for Potentially Unwanted Applications".

If you face any difficulties, please let us know and we will assist you further.
