Hello Ramesh,
Yes, the latest 2017 version of AVG Antivirus will have option as "Manual" for update which means that the update should be done manually.
The update will start only if you get into update window and click on it.
The older version had the option to download offline updates and update it through "update from directory" option.
This option is not available in the 2017 version and if you are in need of implementing this option then we can forward your suggestion to our developers team.
You mean to say that I need to be connected even for a manual update. If so As I said earlier, my PC is a stand alone and I would appreciate if the update from directory option is enabled.
Regards
I have been using AVG free all along and was manually updating my PC as it is a stand alone without any network connectivity. I upgraded my AVG to the latest version 17.5.3022. Since then I am unable to do a manual update. The program does not have an option to update from directory. Even with the manual option selected in Updates tab, it still looks for a web connection. My OS is Windows 10 creator update version 15063.540
Regards
