Microsoft Store - Widget Launcher - false-positive? IDP.Generic

I installed Widget Launcher sometime ago. I have a clock, calendar, memory monitor and weather widgets on my desktop. All working fine for years, until today. I tried to add the widgets back but the widget app seems to crash, so I uninstalled it, restarted PC, reinstalled it again, restarted PC, placed the widgets on the desktop. All ok, then I realised that I had them a little too big, and resized them to what they previously were before the issue. Then they dissapeared and then AVG complains that the widget file has a treat named IDP.Generic. It maybe that it is a false-positive, but wanted to find out for sure. I do not like playing around with AVG and adding exceptions. I prefer for AVG to do it all and I know I am safe.

How do I get AVG to do a check if this is a false-positive or not ?
The file name shows as…
WindowsWidget.WinUI.exe
file location starts… C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\48405AmbientSoftware……..

Hello @Jason_Carroll,

Thank you for your post, and I’m sorry for the trouble. Unfortunately, I am unable to locate the detection using the file name and path.

To analyze it further, I’ll need diagnostic data from AVG. To submit these, please follow the steps in Submitting a support file using AVG SysInfo | AVG. Let me know the File ID as mentioned in step 5.

Thank you.

Thank you, I have deleted all in AVG Quarentine, and reinstalled Widget Launcher again. I have got the digi clock, calendar and cpu monitor back on desktop. All ok at the moment. If the issue happens again, I’ll do what you suggested and let you know the File ID.
