Mixed up products, subscribed to wrong one

Following your instructions, I could see my internet security expires 21 December 2019.

I then entered the license key from my recent purchase, expecting the expiry date to be 21 December 2020 now. It is not. It says 7 November 2020, which makes no sense at all. Please correct this

I am disappointed that it does not renew from the existing expiry date, when it explicitly promised that at time of purchase. That is what renewal is
I am disappointed that the automatic renewal I had in place to prevent this mess has not been honoured
I am disappointed that the automatic renewal has not been communicated until now 
I am disappointed that I am still getting automatic pop up reminders of expiry when I have purchased (and when I didn't need to, apparently). Surely it should be a reminder to enter the new license key, not buy again?
I have been disappointed in the renewal process for years, every time there is a mix up.
And now I am disappointed that I cannot reply to the email you sent, bu have to come here in a forum which feels public. Why is there no normal private customer service?

AVG Secure VPN is an application that enables you to connect to the internet via secure VPN servers using an encrypted tunnel.
However, if you prefer to cancel this & get refunded, we do understand.
Also, upon checking your accont, we see that the older subscription of AVG Internet Security is enrolled to automatic renewal.
To avoid duplicate charges/subscriptions, we've disable the automatic renewal of it & sent an email confirmation regarding the same.
You may need to reactivate the subscription of AVG Internet Security on your computer, if the new subscription isn't activated.
To check this : Open AVG Internet Security - My AVG - My subscriptions - Check the expiry date beside Internet Security & let us know.

My AVG Internet Security is due to renew this month, but when a popup about AVG Secure VPN appeared and invited me to purchase, I did so, thinking it was the internet security thing. On completion I got a discount offer to purchase AVG Internet Security, which is when I realised they were not the same. I accepted that discount offer.
How can i cancel the wrong one, when it has given me a discount on the right one?

We have initiated the refund for your AVG Secure VPN Multi-Device purchase and an email has been sent explaining its status. 
You will get the amount credited within 7 business days.
Your recent purchase of AVG Internet Security (Multi-Device) (1 Year) was made on 22nd November 2019. Hence, it will expire on 22nd November 2020.
The other product is AVG Internet Security (1 Computer) (2 Years) is going to expire on 21st December 2019. 
Since it is not multidevice product, it will not merge to your recent purchase. 
We have made the changes internally and canceled the 1 computer license and also added its remaining validity to your existing Multidevice. Hence, you can use now use it till 22nd December 2020.
Perform activation using the same code and you should see the new expiry date. Please make sure that you active it from "other subscriptions" by clicking on "switch to this subscription".

There is no specific email address to contact AVG. Hence, if you reply to the automated email received from AVG, it will not be delievered to us.
