I appreciate your efforts in fixing this issue. I understand that you are facing issues in configuring AVG Email Scanner for your Thunderbird account. Please let me know if you have configured Thunderbird in Windows live mail. Please check if you are able to send or receive emails in Thunderbird (from Windows live mail) without any issues. If yes, please open Account settings in Windows live mail and double click on the Thunderbird account settings. Please check the port number for Thunderbird there and configure the same in the AVG Email scanner as you did earlier. If the issue is still persist please send the screenshot of your AVG Email setting Interface so that we can assist further? I have installed AVG Free, and every time I start Thunderbird email client I get a pop-up saying I should do something to enable the scanning of encrypted emails. I have several email accounts. but so far I have only tried to set up the gmail account. I have followde the instructions given under AVG support page to the letter, but the result is only that I receive no mail, and when trying to send mail I get an error message saying that I am trying to access the server with incorrect information. Any suggestions ??
