I have avg in passive mode. There's no reason for avg to force me to include it in startup. The three popups everyday to ask if I want to keep it in passive mode are obnoxious and assinine. I'll most likely unistall the program and use something else. Plenty of decent anti-virus programs out there. No reason to use one that is purposely annoying and decreases productivity.
Hello Caroll,
We understand your concern. Please be informed that AVG services are required during the startup of the computer, so that when your computer boots, it first enables AVG and it will run a scan to make sure your computer is safe during boot up.
Thank you
Does AVG Framework and AVG Internet Security System have to be enabled at System Startup? I have tried to uncheck them in msconfig startup but when I hit apply the check comes back? Just trying to help system startup work faster.

Dave, we understand your concern.
AVG will be in your Startup programs because it will scan and secure your computer during the startup. So, it has to be enabled in the startup services.
