If the requesting PIN has AVG logo then it means that you have enabled AVG Anti-theft feature.
Try resetting the PIN by following below mentioned steps:
For Anti-Theft features to be working, the following conditions are mandatory:
1. Active data connection on your device.
2. Your device should be turned ON and it should not be formatted.
3. Device should be displayed under Mobilation website.
Note: When you update your AVG AntiVirus for Android to the version 6.x, your mobile device is automatically removed from AVG Mobilation and added to the my.avg.com portal. To reset the anti-theft pin, your device should be turned ON and active data connection or strong WiFi should be connected. Follow the below steps to reset the password:
I'm changing from vodafone to gifgaff. I have the network unlock code. I entered that with the new sim in. It then starts the warning and wanting a pin number. I have no idea what it is. I have an AVG account but my phone is not listed as a device. What do I do? help!

2. Login to anti-theft portal using the my account credentials
3. Select the device from the left panel you wish to reset the anti-theft pin.
4. New tabs will appear for your selected device from which tap on Settings.
5. Tap on Anti-Theft Tab.
6. Enter PIN confirm PIN again.
7. Tap on save to change PIN number for your device.
Now you can use recent PIN to unlock the device. Make sure device have active mobile data or Wi-Fi connection to sync with the new PIN.
