My scan said it deleted a trojan but as it found this trojan does it mean i was infected or it was waiting on an attachment on an email?

Suzi, If you are in any doubt in order to analyze it please provide AVG with GMER (http://kb.avg.com/articles/en_US/How_to/GMER-Scan-Result/) and AVG scan result export (http://kb.avg.com/articles/en_US/How_to/AVG-scan-result-export/).

I just want to know if AVG found and deleted the trojan was my computer infected or was the trojan just in a file waiting to be opened?

My computer did a normal scan then told me it removed a trojan, i use windows outlook and the emails stay on the harddrive i did delete the email and not open it but now i am worried that i may have been infected even tho i did not open the attachemnt. Am i being parinoied or was i infected?

It was most likely blocked before infecting your computer.
