Hello John,
We regret for the inconvenience caused. Please refer this link http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-make-exclusions-from-all-scans-and-shields to add the application to make exceptions to fix the issue. Please reply us back if any issue persists after adding the exception.
Thank you.
I had already added exceptions to the application folder, the MySQL engine folder and the MySQL data folder but to no effect. Is there a log of the files being rejected?
Since a recent update of AVG (free version), the MySQL server on the computer cannot be accessed. Works OK if anti-virus is disabled. XP machine, MySQL 5.1.
John, For your info, just in case that you are unaware, you can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.
