Name of virus vault in my program files' AVG folder

How do I find the AVG "properties page"?

Hello Alok,

Great answer! Unfortunately "My trial program doesn't have a menu to facilitate restoration." The 'menu' button and a few others are as faded as last decade's denim pants, still visible, but NOT FUNCTIONING, so it is impossible for me to follow your instruction to "click on the menu button".

The program that I'm trying to restore is named "regserve.exe". I need to find the folder that should have been named "VIRUS VAULT" in the AVG folder in my program. There are a vast number of possibilities. The company, Xionix, that provides regserve, has a two week response time for getting reinstalled progerams activated. The program has an annual fee.

The program is set for windows 8, but I'm running Windows 10. How do I get it set right without deleting the contents of the virus vault?

Hello Bob,
I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issue with restoring an application from AVG virus-vault. Please open AVG protection (AVG free Antivirus/AVG Internet Security) program, click on menu button, virus-vault/quarantine and select the file that you wish to restore. If you the issue still persist, Please let us the program name which you need to restore, which AVG program you have installed on your computer. We look forward for your reply.
Best regards,
Alok.

Each time I restore regserve and try to open it AVG takes it away again. When I try to restore it, it says it's already present. "Overwrite?" it asks. "OK" I say. No visible change; the icon is still missing. I go back to the obscure folder that it was restoring to, where I never had had it, drag it back onto the desktop, try to open it, and the cycle repeats.

I need to restore a program that AVG inconveniently grabbed up and stuck in the virus vault, but can't locate the coded (renamed) folder in the AVG folder in the virus vault. My trial program doesn't have a menu to facilitate restoration.

Bob,
Could you share a screenshot ( http://avgclick.me/getscreenshot ) of your AVG interface where 'Menu' is grayed out to assist you further?

Hello Bob,

We are sorry for the inconvenience caused.
Is your trial of AVG protection says as expired or do you still have days left for the expiry?

That's the link that didn't work.

Bob,
Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions to upload the screenshot. Thank you.

Bob, please send us a screenshot of the properties page (where AVG properties shows formatted for Windows 8). We look forward for your reply.
Best regards,
Alok.

I left my programs, 7 zip and regserve, restored and tried to download the latest AGV free antivirus, restarted, and checked the properties on my AVG desktop shortcut. It's still formatted for Windows 8, I I was given no choice, but there were choices to pick from in my properties window. The choice for Windows 10 is not an option. This is why I say I tried. I got the AVG executable installatrion file, ran it as administrator, it sid that it ws installed OK, but the property window for the AVG desktop dashboard says it's for Windows 8.

Each time I restore regserve and try to open it AVG takes it away again. When I try to restore it, it says it's already present. "Overwrite?" it asks. "OK" I say. No visible change; the icon is still missing. Yes. What is the email address to which I should send the screenshot?

Have I described the problem inadequately?  You could use a shot of your own interface, take a screenshot of that, put it in MSPaint, and using the black brush, and black out the word 'menu' and the several icons lined up to its left through the shopping cart and the one to the left of that. The close window "X" and the minimize buttons to the right of the darked out word 'menu' are intact and work.

I still have "basic protection", and a very slow VPN the latter of which I don't use due to slowness. Something else did expire.
