Need to unblock blocked files

I mistakenly hit block from an AVG alert when I had accessed a file from email.  Ever since I have not been able to save a file in Photoshop after opening or creating  a new file.  The screenshot is: "Could not save ...... because the file is locked.  Use the Properties command in the Windows Explorer to unlock the file"  I have been unsuccessful doing that.

Jerry,
Do you encounter any error while trying to access files from photoshop?
If so, please share the screenshot of that error message to assist further.

I found that my Word, Excel and PPT files were being locked by the AVG Sensitive Data Shield.  I had to completely uninstall AVG Internet Security, close my computer, reboot my computer, then turn off Sensitive Data Shield under PRIVACY.

It seems weird that I was not able to access my own files that I created on the same computer, but I could still email them as attachments to anyone and open them from my Sent Items in Outlook.  The Ransomeware solution suggested above did not work for me.

My files in Photoshop are blocked; how do I unblock them?

Jerry, If applicable.. For your info, just in case that you are unaware, you can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.

Jerry,

Thank you for updating the status.

I am glad, your issue is fixed now.
Hello Jerry,
What you’re describing is most likely, Photoshop application has blocked by AVG Ransomware protection. I request you to open AVG Internet Security > Menu > Settings > components > ransomware protection > customize > allow/block > look for Photoshop application and allow it.
Best regards,
Alok.
Alok, it worked.  Thank you, thank you.
Jerry
Jerry, open AVG Internet Security > click on hacker attack > ransomware protection > open > allow/block.
Best regards,
Alok.
