A laptop I am working on recently upgraded to the new AVG Zen Free (2017 version). I notice that none of the registry cleaners that I have access to work anymore (ie. Eusing Free Registry Defrag). The only way that I can get them to work is to uninstall AVG Free and then run them and finally to reinstall AVF Free. Versions prior to the 2017 version (ie. 2016, 2015, etc.) did not have this problem. Something must be blocking the defrag programs from making registry changes at boot time.
Has anyone else seen this problem, and does anyone else have a solution or workaround other than uninstalling AVG?
