New AVG Internet Security Update

Rakshith, I think you misunderstand my issue. Please read my original posts. I did restart after installing the newest update! This is when the problems occured, with the ever-growing RAM and CPU usage, ultimately making my system unusable. The problems I mentioned in later posts referred to my problems with AVG after I did a system restore to a point before I installed the newest update. Now that I got rid of the newest AVG update, and restarted a second time after the restore, my computer and AVG seems to work normally. I'm now using the update PREVIOUS to your current update. From all the comments I've seen on this forum, though, I think AVG needs to fix the newest update before people install it. Please work on this issue! Thanks.

@ Rakshith Rajkumar (Avast). It wasn't difficult for you to translate Luis San Josée Font's commentary!
Here's his comment, in English :

I have exactly the same problem as Anon: high Ram and CPU consumption, running at more than 50% when it was not the case before, all this since I updated the system this morning. AVG Internet Security, win 7 SP1.

I just installed the new update for AVG Internet Security (now at 20.7.3140, build 20.7.5568.590), and, since I installed it and restarted, I find my system gradually consuming more and more RAM the longer I'm on the computer (and I'm not going nuts running different programs). I'm currently almost maxed out on RAM (now using about 27GB of 32GB–despite only having a browser open to type this), and am always using anywhere from a quarter to a third of my CPU. I shouldn't be this high for any of these. Have Win 7 Professional SP1. Prior to installing the update this morning, everything was working just fine. Now things are slow, and virus scans take forever. Please fix this. Is there a way I can go back to the old update?

No, I have AVG Tune Up, but no other security feature. I just restored my computer to a point before the latest update, and the RAM and CPU usage is back to the way it was before the update (much lower). My problem now is that I can't open the AVG program, and every time I try, the icon keeps disappearing. I just want to update the virus definitions now and forget the program update. Is there a file you could send me that would allow me to install the update previous to this one?

Hi Carol,

We'd request you to refrain posting on multiple questions & write back to us in your own post to keep the conversation simple.
Thank you for your understanding in advance!

Please fix the update so I can update my AVG. I'd like to stay with AVG, but if I can't fully use the program, I'll have to go with a different company.

I restarted my computer and was finally able to open AVG. I updated the virus definitions, but not the program ones. The computer works just fine now, as it did before I installed the program update released today. Please release an update to fix the current update. The software version I'm using now (that works) is 20.6.3135 (build 20.6.5495.588).

If you wish to update, you can update the application to the latest version, Anon
Application update requires a restart of your PC to complete, in many cases customers doesn't do it.

There is not separate file from which you can update your virus definition, Anon

Tengo exactamente el mismo problema de Anon: alto consumo de Ram y CPU trabajando por encima de 50% cuando antes no era así, todo desde que actualice le sistema esta mañana. AVG Internet Security, win 7  SP1.
