As of the new browser update, AVG no longer supports playing on anything on NETFLIX. Gives Error Code of Netflix M7361-1254. I have cleared all cookies and caches and this error still comes up. Looks I am switching to Chrome where no errors exist.
Also, the new TuneUp has trouble deleting files in Disk Cleanup. Says they are gone, and upon refresh, they are still there.
Looks like AVG is not paying attention to BUGS! 8-5-2025
Hi @Mark_Robbins1, sorry about the trouble! We’re looking into the Netflix issue and will try to fix it asap.
As for the TuneUp problem, can you please share screenshots showing the problem? Specifically we’re interested in these three screens:
- Screen showing the initial Disk Cleanup results.
- Screen confirming the files are removed.
- Screen showing the Disk Cleanup results after refresh.
If you can’t upload all three screenshots at once, feel free to send three replies to this thread.
Thank you in advance!
Hi @Mark_Robbins1,
To follow up on the Netflix issue, would you please send us the Widevine Content Decryption Module version in your AVG Secure Browser and version of the browser? This would help us investigate the issue.
To do so, simply:
- Open AVG Secure Browser
- In the address bar, enter: secure://components/
- Scroll down and find Widevine Content Decryption Module
- Send us the version number that is noted next to it
- In the address bar, enter: secure://settings/help
- Send us the version number of your browser
Thank you!
I have the same issue on both desktop and laptop version info below.
Widevine Content Decryption Module - Version: 4.10.2891.0
Status - Up-to-date
Version 138.0.31254.169 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Edit: just after posting the above, there was an update to: Version 139.0.31477.68 (Official Build) (64-bit) which seems to have resolved the issue and Netflix is working once more.
Hi @neo_anderson1,
Thank you for letting us know the Widevine module version and for the situation update with Browser version 139.0. We released it later yesterday, and it contains a configuration that fixes this issue. I’m happy to hear your confirmation!
@Mark_Robbins1, if you’d have a chance, please update your AVG Secure Browser (How to manually update AVG Secure Browser | AVG) and let us know the status as well.
Thank you!
