New version Low quality junk

I have been a user of AVG for many years. This newest version 1.181.3.3057 is total trash as is the service.

I had in the old version under settings version updates checked ask me and ant time there was a new version they would inform me and ask me. I then updated. This time I opened my computer, and as it was opening, I got a call of nature. When I got back there on the screen was a new version installed.

I checked it out and went through the settings making sure everything was as I wanted it to be. I then ran a scan, here was where the major problem presented itself. With the old version if you ran a scan all it scanned for was viruses. If you wanted to scan for performance problems you hit another button for that scan. But with the new you hit scan and both scans run, and at the end it tells you that you have a bad browser to remove it and browser history to delete it. At the bottom is 2 buttons one continue and the other cancel. Hit continue and you lose your browser and history, hit cancel and it is as if you never ran a scan, making the program totally worthless. Besides this every time i open my computer it asks me if I want to remove my browser.

I attempted to uninstall it and install the older only it would not install the older only the worthless new version. I then tried system restore. There was the older version, but it would not work. I went to repair, but instead of repairing, it came up error. So, AVG took away my right to choose and force me to accept an inferior program, or uninstall it and replace it with another antivirus program from another company.

I called the company about this situation. I hit tech support after explaining the problem they said I need customer assistance and transferred me. This department after explanation said I needed tech support and transferred me to tech support who then after explaining transferred to customer support, who then transferred me tech support. This time as the person was about to transfer me I yelled at him about this treatment and that he better answer some questions. After giving the problem one more time and some questions, I was told there was no way to return to the older version, nor anyway of blocking, or preventing the program from removing the desired data from my computer after a scan.

I stated that maybe if I went to c:drive and Hkey and remove all AVG files then install the program once more he stated that the newer program would install and that the program might be corrupted. He advised me to go to the feedback site and give feedback that some day they may give a newer version with these problems corrected.

There must be a way to get rid of this trash and still have AVG; like an older version, or prevent the scan from performing the fix scan and removing desired data, or without totally leaving AVG for another antivirus program.

The ones who designed this and implemented this program should be fired and given a bad reference.
