Hi AVG Suppport. This issue with AVG File Shield is still not resolved after years of users requesting a fix. File Shield does not hone added exceptions in any form… file, directory, Allowed App, none of them. the only workaround i have found it sto totally disable FIle Shield.
How can we get past this? I have submitted files for analysis but never heard anythng back

Thank you.
I've been running Nice Hash Crypto Miner for several months. Now AVG puts all of the files into quarantine, even if the miner is running.
I've added the entire "c:\NiceHash QuickMiner" folder to the exception list and I've sent the files to AVG for "further investigation". Nothing seems to help. How can I get Nice Hash Quick Miner to run with AVG?
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Also, why does it take so long to restore a file? It takes 10 to 20 seconds to restore each file.
Hello Kurt,
We're sorry to know this.
Could you please share the screenshot of the Quarantine listed files?
Refer to this article for the steps to capture the screenshot.
You can post the screenshot here on your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.
In addition, restore time depends on the file size. You can also reinstall AVG Internet Security/AntiVirus and check for the status.
Thank you.

Hello all,
I have found a work around for this issue. Turn off File Shield and Behavior Shield. Then, start NiceHash Crypto Miner. Then Turn File Shield and Behavior Shield back on.
If a program is already running, AVG seems to leave them alone. I still wish AVG would figure out a way to permanently put NiceHash on a white list. Or, once the user puts it on an exception list, it actually works as an exception list.
Hi There,
I am having the exact same issues please advise ?
