No Ability To Mark Private Networks

Midhun, thank you for your response and email.
I responded to your email twice (AVG Support Community <noreply@help.avg.com>) with this subject line: (Avast): New reply to your question.
Both time I have received a response "If you are receiving this message after replying to an AVG email, we were not able to identify your email properly. Please reply to the original AVG email without editing the subject line so that we can process your request."
Either you will have to supply me with a valid email address which I can respond to or continue the conversation on the forum.

My machines have Windows 10.
I am on AVG version 22.6.3242
Yes I have VPN.
I have tried following the instructions to change the network type on the AVG website. When I press on Menu and Settings, my menu does not have Components on it.

I have had and used AVG for many years. I have been totally satisfied with it up until about January of 2022. I have it on several commuters. I have a PRIVATE home network with computers and back up drives. I have always been able to see all of my devices from each other. About January of this year, that situation changed. I can no longer see most of my other devices. My network is now marked PUBLIC on my computers and cannot be changed. The AVG on one computer even brags that it is preventing other computers from accessing it. I am about at the end of my patience. It appears that others are experiencing the same problem and AVG's answer is to read and follow an article. I am familiar with the procedure to change the network designation. It simply will not change. If this situation is not resolved shortly, I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Hi Carl,

Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience this has caused you.
Firstly, please refer to this article & make sure that the AVG Internet Security program is up to date (ver 22.6.3242 for Windows & ver 20.2 for Mac) on all your devices.
Secondly, please specify the operating system of your devices.
Thirdly, do you have any VPN program installed in your devices?
If yes, does the network status revert to 'Public' when the VPN is enabled?
Awaiting your response.

Also, please update AVG Internet Security on your computer to the latest version (22.7.3245). It received an update on July 28, 2022.
