Two days ago the avg icon in my tray at the bottom right disappeared. When I clicked on show hidden icons there was no icon at all showing for avg so despite my entry alongside to show icon and notifications nothing happens.
Found the suggestion below from avg on the internet but system tray notifications is already ticked but still no icon on the taskbar at the bottom right. Yes, I know my avg internet security is still working but I would like to see the icon on the taskbar.
Can you please assist?

Please open your AVG program and Perform the steps given below to display the AVG icon on the desktop.
1. Click "Options" --> "Advanced Settings".
2. Select Appearance.
3. On the right side of the panel, please tick the checkbox "System Tray Notifications".
4. Click "Ok" to save the changes.
