when I click on my avg internet security shortcut nothing happens, I do not get the screen which enables me to run a scan.This problem coincided with my giving up my avg vpn, is it avg sour grapes?

I've got the same proglem as Robert has. Since yesterday i started receiving scam emails. I'm wondering if my AVG softwre is properly working and I can't log in bank account because I'm too scared to get hacked.
