No internet access as blocked

But would you please explain your issue in detail so that we can assist you with a Technical Support? Could you please tell us what AVG product is installed in your PC? Please reply for us to assist you efficiently.

My pc stopped connecting to the internet after a windows update so after pulling my hair out i took the pc to a repair shop. He deleted the AVG products on my PC and it was sorted. He told me to pick a decent AV product as the AVG was a bag of rubbish and this was reported in 2021 and they still have not sorted it.
My partners laptop updated today that is nearly 5 months later and guess what? yep hers has done the same. The only good thing is i knew to delete the AVG so did not have to waste my time and petrol taking it for repair only to be told AVG is rubbish.

so not impressed that i purchased a suite of stuff that does not do anything except cause problems.

anyone know a really good AV that actually does work.

Hi i have not installed any more virus software and only turned on the standard windows protection.
I could reinstall but i am running a business and do not have the time to mess around every time a windows update is done. Plus as i said this issue has been spoken of all over the internet for years so i am not sure how you will suddenly after all these years be able to rectify it.

If you decide to give us a chance, we can reinstall the AVG program and resolve this issue.

  1. May I confirm whether you've installed any other Antivirus application other than AVG on your PC? If you are using anti-virus products on your computer in addition to AVG Antivirus and experience issues with malware detection or system performance, we strongly recommend uninstalling the conflicting product. It is generally not recommended to use more than one security solution on a single system. They compete for resources, which may result in slowdowns, crashes, or no protection at all.
  2. Also do you have any VPN turned ON while accessing those sites and got the No internet error? If yes, then in kindly turn it OFF and try to access the site.
  3. Problems with the DNS servers from your internet service provider can compromise the functionality of certain AVG products and that could also cause this issue, hence please refer the below article to change the DNS settings and check the issue.

My reply is a strasight forward simple one.

internet fine the day before any windows updates "Then internet blocked" is all you get when trying to go on our typical wbsitesd which we run our business using. Thats on Chrome Forefox and Edge all the same.
so we delete the AVG and then it all works like nothing was ever wrong so its definitely AVG the problem and i see when checking online this has been happening since 2016 many people are saying.,
