If you have uninstalled the AVG program and still if you couldn't connect to the internet then this issue should have not caused because of AVG.
I upgraded my mother's free AVG program and now can't connect to the Internet. Uninstalled the program and still can't connect. Please advise as I have no way do download the removal tool on a PC at this point to fix the problem.

Internet connection works fine for other devices, just not this compouter. It immediately lost connection once I uninstalled AVG product and I am unable to restore the connection to this particular computer.
I am experiencing the exact same problem - what I have found is that "bugs or malaware" have got into your system and effectivley blocks you getting onto the net … you need to download a malaware removal bit of software and then run it … my first pass found 2,196 malaware items… delete and then restart.
Do not try to re install AVG onto your Mothers machine it is not compatible with windows 10.
It has nothing to do with your service provider either.
