Hello Midhun
About the advice from you to reset my Edge Browser… Im afraid my machine doesnt have the little lines I have to press to lead me to the little ines that lead me to Settings/reset settings/restore to default. I have three dots in the right hand corner of my browser but do not have the same functions as you suggest. I decided to do clear my cache/ history/ passwords but this was no good.
Its making me quite ill attempting to do these things as I have mental illness. Is there another pathway you can suggest please?
Hi Colin,
We are sorry to hear this.
We will help you to resolve the issue.
Are you getting this popup when you open the browser?
Please check whether you have the Norton AntiVirus installed in your computer.
Are you facing this issue in the other browsers too?
Keep us posted.
Santhhosh, thanks for your kind advice but I cannot see where I am meant to go on the info you suggested. You told me to go to the appropriate area to solve my problem and go for the one that says "Repair or reset Microsoft Edge"but all I can see is in "If microsoft Edge Doesnt Work" and the nearest thing is "Restart Microsoft Edge"…is this what I select… "Restart Microsoft Edge" ?
I have to be candid with you because I have Bipolar Disorder mental illness and this is terrifying me in case I mess up. Ill look for your advice…Thanks, Colin
Hi Pannererselvam
This this is now getting much worse. When I open the browser is sends a little side not on my screen advertising a site or service, if I click on its right corner to remove it I get a full red page saing "Warning, This site has a virus or malware" oe something like that.
Now every time I make a new page it seems to click up again. It is partially obscuring this as I write to you. Its a nighmare my friend. I try my besy but I have mental illness and am not too good at all this.
I do noy\t have this horrid Norton Antivirus inatalled either…dont know where its come from?
Thank you for your kind words, Colin.
Glad to know that your issue has been resolved.
Feel free to write back to us if you have further queries.
Santhos…
My friend, the engineer you sent removed this rubbish in no time at all. He was a gentleman and the experience as far as I am concerned was very good, watching the destruction of the "enemy" hahahaha !!
It is disgraceful that Norton can abuse people like this and I shall be making serious complaint to them.
As usual AVG saved my day… thank you all very much. Colin
We apologize for the inconvenience, Colin.
