If I rescan in Tune Up it shows disk cleaner has the same items to be deleted each time, (but never does). I have rescanned 5 times and it always says the same thing. Windows set up files always has 2 files that can be deleted, but are still there after rescan also
I have reinstalled the app, but it still does the same thing.
It sounds like the scan results are detecting leftover items, but the cleanup process isn’t actually applying the changes. This could be a permissions issue or the tool not properly executing the cleanup step. Since reinstalling didn’t help, it may be worth checking if the utility is running with admin rights or trying a different built-in Windows cleanup method to confirm whether the files are really removable.
