Hi,
AVG Performance is not compatable with Office 2016. An AVG pop up occurs refereing to product activator when an office file is being loaded into any of the office applications. The problem is solved completely when AVG Performance is removed using the AVG Removal Tool. Therefore AVG Performance must be the culprit. Also, if the windows uninstaller in Control Panel is used a PC crash occurs.

I am a long time user of Tune up Utilities, but must say since AVG Performance 2015/2016 (I do not like the fact that I am given no options to accept duplicate files  etc. The user interface is also unfriendly, much better the old desktop) and these problems are making me reconsider continued use.

There is nothing, that I can see, in the AVG Performance support pages or FAQs on how to update.
