1. Uninstall suspicious programs from your Programs and Features.
2. Remove any suspicious browser extensions/add-ons.
3. Check the browser shortcuts.
4. Reset the browser settings to orignal settings if necessary.
5. Try some free antivirus programs like Malwarebytes or AdwCleaner.

My son downloaded a program and with it came nove.rambler.ru. Whenever you search for anything in chrome its switches to that search engine, from google. Did dome research and it is apparently a virus/malware. AVG did not detect it. any other recommendations?
