Hi, I'm currently trying out AVG - just the antivirus program.
I don't have firewall activated and I've switched off web projection. However, I'm not getting various internet connection problems. I get a browser message saying a webpage is not available, or there is a problem connecting to a proxy server (I can't see one in internet settings, but is this something to do with AVG?)
I try to repair internet connections automatically but no problems are detected. I usually have to reload a page several times to get it, while some pages don't seem to load at all regardless of what browser I am using.
I might just have to uninstall AVG and try another product. But first can you let me know what might be causing this and how to rectify it.
Thanks,
Gary
PS I've gone round in circles trying to get support on this product. The email button was grayed out and I had to log in four times to get to the community page. I am trying to be patient, but if this is what support is about for AVG then I really think I should uninstall AVG and be looking at other products first… I'll sleep on it and see what the response is (if any) tomorrow…
