I'm sorry to hear that you're receiving AVG promotional pop ups. Many of our users find these offers useful. We handpick them from our own products or those of partners we feel can add to your security or digital experience. Please check if you have installed AVG PC TuneUp on your computer (open control panel > programs and features), if yes then please uninstall it. The frequency of pop ups can be controlled directly from the app or can be even turned off (please open AVG Internet Security > menu > settings > general > Pop ups > manage your pop ups). Also, you can uncheck the box "show pop up offers for other AVG Products" in general settings.

please where Can I find  "the general settings" as you mention them. I unchecked the box in AVG internet security but why di I have to do this twice. 
I really want to get rid of this, If not soon I wil take another virusscanner.

I want to stop the pop-up screens that appear every other day or so, that aaks me to buy AVG Tune-Up. 
I DON'T WANT TO BUY TUNE UP!

I apologize for the inconvenience caused.

By General Settings, Alok meant the following path: AVG Internet Security, click on Menu>Settings. In Settings Window, expand "Pop-Ups" and uncheck "Show pop-up offers for other AVG products".

Since you have already unchecked the option, please make sure that you have not installed AVG PC TuneUp Trial version on your computer.
