Hi

I have a few standalone PC at home for backup for my photos and videos. Transferring of files is solely through air gap.

Recently I notice that the link to download AVG Free 2016 redirects to AVG/download page. There is only a web install option there.

My question is: is there no more support for offline installation of AVG Free?

Noticed this seems to happen every year around this time, just as the old version of AVG Free is being replaced with the new version.

The link Install AVG on your PC, Mac | AVG installation files completely goes down for about a week, which supplies offline updates and standalone installers for just the free version of AVG, yet all other update links for the PAID versions are still available? For some baffling reason its just the free stuff that becomes inaccessible?! Hopefully not for long.

Thats a bit vague, are you sure?
So offline updates are permanently unavailable for AVG Free from now on, yet still available for everything else? Makes no sense.
And what about the question from the original post, the availabliity of ANY AVG Free offline installer?

Hmm, only ever remember the non-zen being available as a standalone installer, and that was AVG 2016 last year.

Anyway, here is the link for the offline update files which seems to have popped up unannounced:

Includes only the web installer, so we'll see…

Unfortunately offline installation files are not available for the "AVG AntiVirus Free" nor "AVG Internet Security - Unlimited". Both products are Zen enabled and require internet connection for the installation - AVG Zen is installed from the installation package, AV is installed from Zen (not from the installation package itself). Also none of those support custom proxy settings… Some time ago, there were two versions of Free available (Zen and non-Zen with offline installation file) - but it's not the case anymore…
