Hi M D,
It seems that you are getting the threat detection from AVG on your Mac.
Hence, to know more about it, provide the screenshot of AVG threat detection window here.
NOTE: Click on "see details" of AVG threat detection window and then take a screenshot of it.
You can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.
Please access "system preferences" as mentioned in the below screenshot.
Feel free to contact us if you need further help.
I have forwarded the case to the senior team for getting suggestions.
Keep checking this post to know about the status.
Your patience is much appreciated.
It seems the system preferences manages the upper right corner popups, but no the hyperannoying popup that comes every time AVG stops a nasty file. It seems there is NO WAY to stop it and it's something that started happening with the last upgrade (a few days ago).
Any suggestion, before I stop using AVG?
AVG Notifications are managed by Mac OSX, Not the AVG software.
This is why you can't see it in the prefrences within AVG.
So open the computer system prefrences and select notifcations from that pane.
Withiin there you can manage alerts for all installed software.
