Online map finder

R Myers,
I understand this must be frustrating. Online map finder is considered as an adware application and it may get on your computer through another program. The adware can merge its setup file with the executable of pirated utilities, freeware and shareware tools making it hard for anti virus programs to detect it. The virus definitions for free and paid version of AVG is same. I would request you to uninstall unknown add ons from your web browsers.

Also, please right click on the desktop shortcuts of your web browsers, click on Properties, check the 'Target' field. It should be “C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe” for IE and “C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe”  for Chrome. Please check and remove if any other text is added to this path.

If I upgrade from free AVG to full protection, will it get rid of online map finder.  online map finder is on my computer and does not show up in programs so I cannot uninstall it.
thank you
