So, I have just been trying to open a .doc file with Open Office 4.1.14 (latest version), and I have discovered that AVG's Sensitive Data Shield is blocking it from doing so (for reference, I have AVG Ultimate). It says that access to the file was denied. I have checked all of the file's permissions that I can think of, and I am the sole owner of the file, so I clearly have full control of the file. I am also using an account with admin control of the system (I am running Windows 10 Pro). The most annoying part of all this is that according to AVG's current settings, Open Office should not be blocked from opening anything. I have added it to the list of allowed apps (it was actually already there previously), and the list of blocked apps is empty. I have no idea where to go from here, as it seems like I have followed all of the correct steps to fix/prevent this. What ideas do you have? Any help is appreciated (I'm not interested in changing to Libre Office by the way).
Thanks!
