We have to remove the traces of old AVG before installing new version. I recommend you to run AVG Remover tool : http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-troubleshoot-issues-after-upgrade-to-the-latest-AVG-antivirus-product to uninstall it completely.
Reinstall AVG Tuneup Unlimited as suggested here: https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Install-TuneUp and activate it using your email address & password.
I upgraded, dowloaded the new .exe and it's giving me an error upon trying to complete installation. Any known solutions to this problem? Thanks!
