Outlook access to Gmail blocked since AVG installed

I use Outlook (Windows 11) to access two email accounts. One is work on a Microsoft Exchange server and the other is a personal Gmail account.
Since installing AVG, the MS Exchange account is still working but the Gmail is not and I get an  Outlook Error Message 0X800CCC0E. "Outlook cannot connect to subscribed folders for address@gmail.com. Error: cannot connect to server."
I temporarily paused AVG and several Gmail messages from earlier today were delivered.
I turned AVG back on and sent a test message to both accounts. The Exchange message was received straight away and the Gmail has not come 26 minutes later.
So I conclude that AVG is blocking access to Gmail.
How can this be fixed?

I've spent about 2 hours with your technician Anjana who, I'm sure, has done their best but the problem is still unresolved. The connection with them has now dropped out and I can't afford to spend any more time on this so can you please cancel my subscription and refund my payment.
