Opening Yahoo in Firefox and checking mail from there displays the messages correctly
Hi Dick,
We're glad to look into this & help you.
It would be helpful, if you try accessing your emails through browsers to check if the gif links open from there & let us know.
Also, let us know the version of AVG (Open AVG - Menu - About).

Not a problem, Dick. Thank you for explaining.
As the issue persists even after disabling AVG protection, this seems to be an issue with the Microsoft Outlook. In this regard, we'd suggest you to check this with Miscrosoft support to ensure this.
Before proceeding to reach them, please ensure us that you're using AVG Free Antivirus. If you use any other paid AVG program, let us know. Reason being, we're unable to find any subscritpions under the email address that you've used to reach us.
Thank you for your understanding in advance!
Thank you the info, Dick.
Please disable AVG and check if that fixes the issue. Right click on AVG icon under system tray next to clock, click on toggle bar to disable AVG temporarily.
Keep us informed about the status.
Sorry, I should have said in my initial message that I had tried that. It makes no difference. I tried reloading Outlook after switching off protection to see if that helped. It did not. Where the email has an option to view online, then clicking that brings up the message correctly in my browser. I realise that this suggests that the problem is with Outlook, not AVG, but the only thing that changed from when it worked correctly is the AVG update. I am pretty suure there were no Outlook updates and certainly no change to Outlook settings.
