Paid for AVG but saying not protected?

Hi there,
I just purchased the years protection but when I download AVG then log in it says I'm not protected and my subscription expired today? I only just paid today and if I go into renew it says I will be paying 12 months early as I already have this subscription?
Can anyone help?
