Paid subscription not working

I paid $38 for a subscription but AVG still seems to think i have a free account.  The charge was taken off my credit card and I did it right from the AVG app on my computer.  It kept asking me to upgrade so i finally did it but something went wrong. 
Any thoughts out there?
