We'd like to inform that this password protection disable issue has been identified as a bug and our developers are working on a fix.
As a temporary resolution, we'd request to uninstall AVG using clear tool (https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Uninstall-AVG-software-Clear-Remover) and install it again.
I have a similar problem with Hacker Protection being tiurned off and must be turned on every time I login. THis is very inconvenient and requires a concious thought to reactivate each login, Should I use the solution listed above as a temp fix?
Updating and restarting does not solve this problem previously identified.
