I am having the same problem… no answers yet? wierd!
Password protection is being turned off. This started in November 2020. I have Microsoft Edge with Windows 10. AVG statement says that this feature is no longer being offered for new subscriptions but will continue for existing subscriptions. I only need to be sure that there is no malware or hackers causing this. Another subscriber entered a question concerning the same issue with no answers from AVG or the community.
