Password Protection

I have bought Password Protection BUT cannot get it to load completely 
When I double clic the Icon ,  nothing happens
It tells me it does not have licence number
I have logged on to Myaccount and rebooted computer.
I am operating windows 10 on a Microsoft Surface pro 
I have Google Chrome and have been Using AVG for some years
